This canoe built in Brightwood, OR in 2011 on an original Thompson Brothers Hiawatha Canoe form. Ribs are northern white cedar, and planking is incense cedar, which has a rich dark color and nice vertical grain. The incense cedar was logged here in Oregon. The seats are hand caned. Inwales are sitka spruce and outwales are mahogany (meranti). This canoe has a water line paint style, with a green bottom, blue topsides, and parting stripe. This canoe is sail ready with a mast step and bow seat with integral mast ring.
